At BLURimini 2003 the sea will be always aparty. From May 28th to June 1st, during the course of the International Sailing Week of the 5th edition of the BLURimini, it will take place the 1st MINIALTURA Italy’s Cup and the international sail kermesse Monotypes. For the first time in Rimini and in Italy there will be a race only for cabin cruisers, that are boats between 22 and 25 feet long. To the event has been invited the following classes: Beneteau 25’, J24’, J22’, Mono22’, Fun, Ufo od, Dolphin81, Surprise, Protagonist, Este 24’, Melges 24’, Ufo22’, Blusail24’, Minialtura and ILC25’ for a total of more than 150 boats.

The exhibition will take place in three days and 8 attempts in a course with a buoy of release very large to permit the passage of such an enormous fleet of monotypes. The race is valid as Coppa Italia IMS, while the first placed will become the holder of the “trofeo Challenger Marina di Rimini”. The program of the 5 sailing days a Welcome Party the 30th of May with a rich buffet and live music on the square of the new harbour , the sailing Gala the 31st (always inside the Marina) and the final award ceremony during the conclusive day on the 1st of June. The days 28th and 29th of May are dedicated to the launch of boats and classes. The organisation of the event has been entrusted to SGE Events of Rimini. Responsible of the maxi-race is Max Magrini from Rimini, european skipper champion on duty in the class Blusail 24’.
